COLLEGE Events

The COLLEGE co-curriculum brings learning into the Stanford residence halls, Bay Area, and beyond, creating opportunities for intellectual exchange that complement and extend the first-year seminars. 

Through plenaries featuring distinguished authors, first-year students join their entire class in exploring the "Three Books" that anchor our shared intellectual life—witnessing how experts engage in critical inquiry and constructive dialogue around ideas that matter. Civic salons invite students into smaller, dorm-based conversations led by faculty, where they can test their own thinking in welcoming, informal settings. And in Back to COLLEGE, small groups of Stanford alumni join the conversation.
